Welcome to Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), a state-owned power distribution utility. At KPDCL, we have the rare privilege of empowering millions of people by supplying electricity to their homes as well as to places where economic, agricultural, commercial and industrial activities take place.
KPDCL serves a consumer base of about one million consumers spread across 10 districts of the Kashmir region. Headquartered at Jehangir Chowk, Srinagar, the Company operates through 06 Circles, 18 Divisions and 68 Sub-Divisions.
What sets KPDCL apart is its unique and diverse consumer mix. While we cater to urban and industrial consumers, we also serve agricultural consumers and scattered tribal and forest area populations. This vast operational area and varied consumer profile distinguish KPDCL from private utilities that are largely confined to urban landscapes.
In our continuous pursuit of quality and reliability, KPDCL undertakes regular infrastructure revamping and technical upgradation programmes. These include the laying of underground cables, installation of Ring Main Units (RMUs), creation of new feeders and bifurcation of existing feeders, construction of new sub-stations and establishment of new transformer centres.
Our consumer-centric initiatives include dedicated fault centres at every sub-division and a 24×7 centralized customer care centre at Bemina. In addition, a wide range of services is available online through the KPDCL Website and Mobile Application. We also regularly hear and redress consumer grievances through public fora.
