Connection Procedures

Detailed Service Procedures

Grant of New Connection

  1. Application Submission: The applicant must submit an application in the prescribed format (or apply online) Click Here along with necessary documents such as proof of identity and ownership/occupancy of the premises.
  2. Site Inspection: The Licensee will conduct a site inspection to assess feasibility.
  3. Demand Note: Estimated cost and applicable charges will be issued.
  4. Payment: Payment within the stipulated time.
  5. Connection: Installation and energization as per timeline.

Temporary Connection

  1. Application Submission: Prescribed application with documents and advance payment.
  2. Site Inspection: Feasibility assessment by Licensee.
  3. Demand Note: Estimated charges issued.
  4. Payment: Payment within stipulated time.
  5. Connection: Temporary supply after testing.
  6. Extension: Apply at least 7 working days before expiry.

Shifting of Meter or Service Line

  1. Application Submission: Prescribed application with documents.
  2. Site Inspection: Feasibility assessment.
  3. Demand Note: Estimated charges issued.
  4. Payment: Payment within stipulated time.
  5. Shifting: Shifting as per approved timeline.

Change of Consumer Category

  1. Application Submission: Apply in prescribed format Click Here
  2. Site Inspection: If required.
  3. Demand Note: Charges issued if applicable.
  4. Payment: Payment within stipulated time.
  5. Change of Category: Processed after payment.

Enhancement or Reduction of Load

  1. Application Submission: Apply online Click Here
  2. Site Inspection: Load feasibility assessment.
  3. Demand Note: Estimated charges issued.
  4. Payment: Payment within stipulated time.
  5. Load Change: Enhancement or reduction executed.

Change of Name

  1. Application Submission: Apply online Click Here with proof of identity and ownership/occupancy.
  2. Verification: Documents verified by Licensee.
  3. Processing: Change processed after verification.

Transfer of Ownership

  1. Application Submission: Apply online Click Here with ownership proof and NOC, if applicable.
  2. Verification: Documents verified.
  3. Processing: Transfer processed.

Shifting of Premises

  1. Application Submission: Prescribed application with documents.
  2. Site Inspection: Feasibility assessment.
  3. Demand Note: Estimated charges issued.
  4. Payment: Payment within stipulated time.
  5. Shifting: Connection shifted as approved.
